Punjab Govt Committed To Expand Road Networks: Iqbal Channar

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that Punjab government was fully committed toexpand and modernize road network in 36 districts of Punjab by spending billions of rupees in the current fiscal year 2016-17.
He made these remarks while inaugurating a 9 km-long road network completed by spending Rs. 0.
9 million from Abbasnagar to Basti Guddanpur near here. "The Chief Minister Punjab's modern connectivity providing programme is aimed to provide better access from farm to market and it would not only provide bettertransport facilities but would also extend economic relief to the millions offarmers in the province", Channar noted.
He further said that projects of rural roads program had already been completed in district Bahawalpur. He announced to install two water filtration plants in the area.
