Rabbani's Book "Invisible People" Launched

ISLAMABAD, Feb 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Feb, 2017 ) : The book of Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani 'Invisible People' was launched here on Wednesday having short stories about miseries of depressed and suppressed people of the society.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani said that ruling elite of the country are unable to see certain harsh realities of the life confronting our day to day life.
The event was participated by the Speaker of National Assembly, Federal Ministers, Parliamentarians and people from different walks of life. Senator Taj Haider, Dr. Safeer Awan, Ghazi Salauddin, Masood Ashar and Senator Afrasyab Khattak also addressed the book launching ceremony.
Raza Rabbani said that harsh realities spread around us which have compelled him to write about the miseries of the depressed and suppressed invisible people of our society, he added. He said the issues being confronted by the invisible people of our society have been highlighted in it which depict the real Pakistan through short stories.
His characters of short stories are not news worthy rather their miseries are presented through the language of the literature which always reflect the realities of life, Rabbani maintained.
He said that his characters, led him by catching his finger have asked him to write about their stories.
He shared the different stories presented in his book which includes a story of a worker who is seriously ill but lying outside the hospital while his underage daughter is searching for a doctor.
He is a worker who was very dear to factory owner till the time he was running the wheel of his mill, however, capitalist neither knows nor want to know about his bad condition outside the gate of his business.
His life of love has been crushed under the poverty and miseries as if he does not have a right to love. He said that this is actually the real Pakistan we are living in. Raza Rabbani also discussed some of the characters of his other stories in his book.
The event was addressed by different personalities from the literature. Famous drama writer Mustansar Hussain Tarar was represented by Irum Gillani who read his message before the audience. In his message Mr. Tarar said that he has gone through all the book and is of the view that the stories `Invisible People" of Mian Raza Rabbani fulfill the criteria of a true short story.
