Reforms Needed In Country's Judicial System: Fawad Chaudhry

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th March, 2019) Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has said that there is a need to reform the judicial system.While addressing a seminar at Islamabad bar association, federal minister said, "Reforms are not possible in the judicial system without lawyers.He said economy will be stronger through legal reforms.Not only nation but lawyers also give unprecedented sacrifices in the war against terror.Today the circumstances of the country are getting better and the playgrounds are settling, Chaudhry added.He said, unfortunately, there is no equal justice system for the poor and the rich in Pakistan but we have to give relief to poor man in our judicial system, he added.
He said if a government thinks that reforms can bring without judiciary then it is not possible.Talking about Bar Association, Chaudhry said new building of IHC is under construction on Shahr e Dastoor and building of bar association should also be shifted in this new high court.He said he will ask to CDA that it should provide building facilities to lawyers.He said when lawyers don't get the place for courts they then they will obviously occupy the grounds.I will say to the chief commissioner and administration that they should solve the problem of land for lawyers after sitting with them, he added.
