
Regular Wheat, Fodder Supply Assured In Tharparkar

MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th August, 2016) The Relief Commissioner Sindh Asghar Ali Ghangru has said that efforts were being made to ensure regular supply of wheat and fodder for livestock in Tharparkar. He said that government was preparing a coherent policy so that people in drought hit areas may not face any difficulty. The Relief Commissioner have expressed these views while talking to concerned officers of various departments at Deputy Commissioner Umerkot office, said a statement Wednesday.
He visited different drought affected dehs of Umerkot and personally inspected on ground situation.
Relief commissioner expressed dismay while reviewing the situation and said that none had made any effective strategy to meet emergent situation especially after rain.
He pointed out that most of the land of Thar desert, has been occupied by influentials and in this regard he directed Revenue Officers to take strong action including imposing fine on encroachers.
The Relief Commissioner strictly directed officers and staff of Live stock and Revenue officers to submits their monthly performance report to Deputy commissioner Tharparkar and remain alert to face any natural calamity.
