PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jan, 2019 ) :The efforts of Tehrik-e-Insaaf MPA, Malak Shah Muhammad Khan and an eight-member jirga bore fruits when 21-year-old enmity that claimed the lives of 13 people converted into friendship in Bannu.
Thousands of people attended the reconciliation function in which Ahmed Zai, Utmanzai and Banuchi elders played a key role.
Talking to the ceremony, Shah Muhammad Khan said rivalry never brings win or defeat for anyone but inflict harm in any state.
He said today's reconciliation is a moment of rejoice for all of us and stressed upon the rival groups to lead a peaceful and friendly life in future.
It may be mention here that 21-year-old rivalry had claimed the lives of 13 people and injuries to six others among first cousins, Farooq Khan and Seen Gul Khan groups over a land dispute.
The reconciliation ceremony was also attended by leader of Awan tribe, Malak Maqbool Zaman Awan, District Member PTI, Haleem Zada Wazir, President All Shops Union, Haji Gul Pir, divisional leader of PPP, Malak Shoib, former MPA, Malak Alamgir Khan and a large number of Ulema, local government representatives and elders of Bannu.
