Sardar Asim Maken elected Sargodha district council chairman

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Dec, 2016 ) : Pakistan Muslim League-N candidate Sardar Asim Sher Maken has been elected as chairman district council Sargodha by defeating opposition alliance candidate Farrukh Javed Ghumman with a huge margin.

According to details, polling was held on Thursday for chairmen and vice-chairmen of district council, municiple committees and municipal corporation Sargodha. The PML-N's other candidates -- Sarfraz Ali Bhatti, Gulshan Sherazi and Mazhar Shah -- were also elected as vice-chairmen.

According to unofficial results, out of total 185 votes, PML-N candidate secured 124 votes while PTI's candidate got 61 votes. PML-N candidate Malik Aslam Naveed has already been elected as mayor Sargodha Municipal Corporation.
