SC Dismisses Petition Seeking Disqualification Of MPA

ISLAMABAD, Feb 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Feb, 2017 ) : The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Aman Ullah elected from PB 39.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and comprising Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Faisal Arab heard the review appeal filed by Arif Jan.
During the course of proceedings, Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that it was unimaginable to refer election matters to National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The court after hearing arguments dismissed the review petition. It is to mention that Aman Ullah won 2013 election on PML-Q ticket. Later, PPP candidate Arif Jan challenged his success before the Supreme Court after dismissal of his petition before the Election Tribunal.
