SC Disposes Of Suo Moto Case Regarding Shortage Of Medicine In

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -21st Sept,2016) : The Supreme Court on Wednesday disposed of a suo-moto case regarding shortage of medicines and other facilities in the Sindeman hospital Quetta.
The court directed the provincial government to ensure provision of medicine and other facilities in the provincial headquarter hospitals. The court also directed the provincial government to submit progress report in this regard in the chamber of Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman within three months.
The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman and Justice Mushir Alam heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, the Additional Advocate General Balochistan appeared before the court and informed that the provincial government had taken steps to ensure provision of medicine and other equipment in all hospitals of the Quetta.
He stated that hospitals faced shortage of medicine due to strike of paramedical staff and now the situation was much better. The court after hearing arguments of the Additional Advocate General Balochistan disposed of the case.
