Senate Body For Inquiry Into Cyber Attack On Banks Data

The Senate Standing Committee on Interior Thursday directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to initiate a comprehensive inquiry into the matter relating to cyber attack on banks data and submitted a report within 10 days.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Nov, 2018 ) :The Senate Standing Committee on Interior Thursday directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to initiate a comprehensive inquiry into the matter relating to cyber attack on banks data and submitted a report within 10 days.
The meeting, chaired by Senator Rehman Malik, also asked Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and State Bank of Pakistan to initiate inquiry into the matter.
The committee was attended, among others, by Senators Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Kalsoom Perveen, Mian Atique Shaikh and Haji Momin Khan, Secretary Interior, IG (FC South), Balochistan and senior officers of the ministry and attached departments.
The meeting while taking notice of data hacking of Pakistan's banks, emphasized there was a need for improvement in security system of our banks.
At the outset, the committee highly lauded efforts of the Frontier Corps (FC) in restoring peace and countering terrorism and paid tribute to martyrs of FC and offered Fateha for all martyrs of FC and other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).
The committee also took notice that why Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) closed flights to different cities of Balochistan.
Senator Rehman Malik said his committee would continueraising voice for Balochistan's rights.
