Shipping Activity At Port Qasim

KARACHI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2017 ) : Two ships M.V Leto and M.T Pavino Soirlt carrying 69,724 tonnes soya bean seeds and 68,812 tonnes furnace oil were arranged berths at Grain & Fertillzer Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile three more ships C.V CMA CGM Pudget, C.V Mataquito and M.T han Glory scheduled to load/offload container and white spirit also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 44% on Wednesday where a total of seven ships namely, Maersk Denver, UASC Al-Khor, Gong Yin- 1, Leto, YM Miranda, Maran Gas Acslepius and Pavino Spirlt are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, coal, soya bean seeds, chemicals, LNG, and furnace oil respectively duning last 24 hours.

Cargo handling during last 24 hours stood at 133, 537 tonnes, comprising 109,958 tonnes import cargo and 23, 579 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,985 containers (TEUs) 1,744 TEUs imports and 1,241 TEUs exports was handled at the Port.

Container vessel Maersk Denver and chemcals carrier YM Miranda sailed out to sea on Thursday morning while two more ships, container vessel UASC Al-Khor and Gas carrier Maran Gas Arslepius are expected to sail on same day (today).

Two ships M.V CMA CGM Puget and C.V Mataquito carrying containers are expercted to take berths at Container Terminal berth # 5 & 7 respectively on Thursday, while two more ships C.V OEL Trans word and C.V Torrente are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
