Solar Panels, Inverters To Be Provided To 2700 Schools Of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan

Solar panels, inverters, and batteries would be provided to 2700 primary schools of Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan districts for the uninterrupted provision of electricity through solar energy.
This was stated by Provincial Secretary for Energy Dr. Pervaiz Ahmad while presiding over a meeting at Commissioner Officer here today. Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Nayyar Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Shozab Saeed, District Police Officer Bahawalpur Ameer Taimoor and other concerned officers were also present at the meeting.
Provincial Secretary for Energy told that six panels of 260 watts would be provided to 2700 schools which would be sufficient for operating lights and fans for two rooms. He told that Watchmen and maintenance staff for solar panels would also be recruited for all 2700 schools. He told that life of these solar panels is 25 years and installation of these panels will also mitigate the burden of WAPDA supply line.
