SPECTRA Opening Ceremony Enthralls Students

An Intra-University Super colossal event of more than 50 competitions SPECTRA-17 kicked off here at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) at new campus
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2017 ) :An Intra-University Super colossal event of more than 50 competitions SPECTRA-17 kicked off here at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) at new campus.
The event includes competitions in documentary, debates, Drama, sports, essay writing, calligraphy, Qiraat, Naat and many other competitions. The event is being organized by the students Advisor Office of the university which commenced with an inaugural ceremony here at male campus.
President, IIUI Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh was the chief guest who termed the SPECTRA as vital event while saying that such constructive activities are necessary for grooming of students. He said that curricular and extracurricular activities are sign of talented youth at any campus.
He also felicitated the organizers on conducting such a successful event. IIUI President added that university is committed to provide balanced and harmonious personalities well aware of contemporary disciplines and embedded with teachings of islam.
He said that IIUI is being hailed at national and international levels for its role in education. SPECTRA-15 is aimed at providing a platform to all competitive and confident students of IIUI for curricular and extracurricular activities and to prepare them for Twin city and All Pakistan Competitions said Dr Tariq Javed, the Students Advisor (male).
He added that the event would help students to polish their skills and showcase talent and potential. He reiterated his resolve that IIUI would keep providing opportunities to its talented youth.
He announced that soon his office would commence sports gala on December 18 . Students performed in dramas, presented national songs and mime in inaugural ceremony. We are all set to showcase talent in the mega event and we worked hard to perform best said Muneeb, an IIUI student and Head Dramatic Society of the university. SPECTRA-17 would continue till December 26.
