Standing Committee Takes Strong Exception Of Drug Case

ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over the report of joint investigation team in case of a seizure of 27 kgs of heroin powder.
The committee was chaired by Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan. The Committee directed to called the heads of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Federal board of Revenue (FBR), Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and Airports Security Force (ASF) in the next meeting on November 10.
The committee was briefed by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and customs in relation to multiple recent incidents of drugs being recovered from PIA aircrafts.
The committee suggested that Security agencies should check the air craft and directed to take stern action against the culprits and to report committee in the next meeting.
The meeting was attended by Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar (MNA), Sardar Mansib Ali Dogar (MNA), Shehnaz Saleem( MNA), Farhana Qamar (MNA), Malik Ibrar Ahmed (MNA), Moulvi Agha Muhammad (MNA) and senior officers of the concerned Ministries/departments.
