Station Commander Inaugurates Cleanliness Drive In Rawalpindi

Station Commander Rawalpindi, President Cantonment Board, Brigadier Shahzad Tanvir inaugurated a cleanliness drive at Roomi Park, Mall Road here on Tuesday.

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) :Station Commander Rawalpindi, President Cantonment Board, Brigadier Shahzad Tanvir inaugurated a cleanliness drive at Roomi Park, Mall Road here on Tuesday.

Vice President Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB), Malik Munir, Deputy Cantt Officer Bilal Rashid were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Brig. Shahzad said it was a movement to make our surroundings clean and green through changing mindsets and behaviors of people. He also appealed to the people for active participation in this nation-wide cleanliness campaign.

He hoped that the officials concerned would perform their duties honestly and with dedication to make the campaign successful, adding prizes would be distributed among the active sanitary workers.

The participants started sweeping the pavements of recreational park with brooms.

A walk was also organized which was lead by Station Commander and participated by RCB members, students and representatives from civil society.

On the occasion, pamphlets were also distributed to create awareness among masses.

The cleanliness drive would continue till November 6.
