Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair has said that after improvement in the law and order situation today's Pakistan is more secure and peaceful than that of 2013

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2018 ) :Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair has said that after improvement in the law and order situation today's Pakistan is more secure and peaceful than that of 2013.

He said this while talking to a 95-member delegation of faculty and participants of 47th Pak Navy and 15th Correspondents Staff Courses being held at Pakistan Navy War College, said a statement issued here on Wednesday.

52 officers from Navy, Air Force and Pakistan Army as well as 28 from Allied Forces are taking part in these courses. Commandant Pakistan Navy War College Rear Admiral Naveed Ahmed Rizvi was also present on the occasion.

Sindh Governor said that Karachi is once again becoming the city of lights due to strenuous efforts of law enforcement agencies and Karachiites are carrying out their routine of daily without any fear which was not imaginable before Karachi operation.

Social, cultural, economic, literary and sports activities are in full swing in our mega city and participation of foreigners in various conferences, workshops and other events is a proof of better law and order in Karachi, he added He said that constant training and refresher courses are of immense importance because the same prepare and equip the officers to deal with the challenges of national security more diligently.

They also enhance and increase their capabilities, knowledge and understanding. he observed. He said that Karachi is country's financial hub and we all must endeavor our utmost to place it on global economic map prominently.

Increase in foreign investments in Karachi is another example of its economic importance which is so huge that no foreign company could ignore it, he opined. He further said that due to the policies of the Federal government the economy has shown better results in every sector during last years.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game changer in real sense and its 34 billion Dollars component which is earmarked for energy sector, would revamp this sector for good. he observed.

While highlighting federally funded projects for Karachi Govemor Sindh said that the north track of Lyari Expressway which was pending for nearly 10 years has been completed and would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi soon.

K-IV and Green line RBT projects are also in various phases of completion and the same would be further supplemented by the projects of RS.25 billion Karachi package. To a question the Governor said that he is working to strengthen the economy of the country and Karachi being the centre of it has been his focus.

All the stakeholders are willing to work for the betterment of Karachi which is a positive sign and a prerequisite for any project to be successful. He also highlighted the role of armed forces against terrorism and cited the example of Zarb-i-Azb during which terrorists were targeted.

Commandant of the College Rear Admiral Naveed Ahmed Rizvi informed Governor Zubair about the contributions of Pakistan Navy War College to training the officers of armed forces of Pakistan and allied countries.
