ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -6th Sept,2016) : Indian troops killed two more students including a teenager in Islamabad and Baramulla districts, raising the death toll to 91 in the uprising triggered by the killing of mujahid commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani by Indian troops on July 8 in the territory.
20 year-old Naseer Ahmad Dar was killed and over 150 people were injured after Indian paramilitary personnel fired bullets and pellets on protesters at Seer Hamdan in Islamabad district, KMS reported.
A 35-year old woman, Tasleema was critically injured when she was hit by teargas shell. She was shifted to a Srinagar hospital for treatment. The protests were triggered by police raids on houses in the area.
Another 17-year boy, Musaib Majeed Nagoo succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar. He was brutally injured by the Indian forces in Wadoora area of Baramulla district on Sunday. More than 11,000 people have been injured in the Indian forces' violent actions during the past two-month period.
Meanwhile, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of the teenage boy, Musaib Majeed Nagoo, at his native Sonwani village in Langate area of Kupwara district, today. The boy was laid to rest amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
The authorities imposed curfew-like restrictions in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley on the 60th consecutive day, today. However, people defied the restrictions and staged anti- India and pro-freedom rallies and protests in many areas of the occupied territory.
On the other hand, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in their statements said that the intention behind the attempt made by some Indian parliamentarians to meet the illegally-detained Hurriyet leaders was aimed at discrediting the Hurriyet leadership.
They rejected Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh's remarks about Jammu and Kashmir as well the Hurriyet leadership. They added that India was scared of any meaningful dialogue with Hurriyet leadership and Pakistan, as New Delhi had occupied Jammu and Kashmir illegally and forcibly.
An event on the latest situation in occupied Kashmir was hosted by Lord Mayor of Oxford, Councilor Mohammed Altaf Khan. The Mayor said that the recommendations put forward in the function would be forwarded to British Parliament. Kashmiri representatives, councilors, community leaders, human right campaigners and politicians attended the event.
