Traffic Signals To Be Installed At Different Places In City

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : Traffic signals would be installed at 13 places in Bahawalpur City with a cost of Rs 12.9 million. The new traffic management project would streamline the city traffic in modern scientific line.

Assistant Commissioner city, Rao Tasleem Akhtar inspected 13 identified places for installing traffic signals which includes City Hotel Chowk (Model Town C), Lari Adda Chowk, Zoo Square, library Chowk, Capt Sohail Shaheed Chowk (Noor Mahal Road), NLC Chowk, Gulberg Chowk (Model Town A), Welcome Chowk, Dubai Chowk, DC Office Chowk, Saddar Pulli and One Unit Chowk.

"New traffic management system in Bahawalpur City has been under taken on the directions of Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Capt (Retd) Saqib Zafar which would further stream line the flow of traffic" Rao Tasleem maintained.

He further said that the 13 identified places would be expanded and slip roads would also be constructed. He was accompanied by DSP Traffic, Director Bahawalpur Development Authority and other relevant officials.
