Transport Stands, Booking Offices Sealed Over Covid SOPs' Violation

The district administration has sealed 12 transport stands and booking offices for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :The district administration has sealed 12 transport stands and booking offices for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
On the directives of Provincial Minister Transport, the local administration has conducted search operation in different areas of Hyderabad and warnings were also issued to 200 public transport vehicles for implementing coronavirus SOPs and get vehicle staff vaccinated.
They were warned of strict action along with imposition of fines if found negligent in following government directives in this regard.
According to official report, an amount of Rs 51000 was recovered from public transport vehicles in 7 districts of Sindh for issuing tickets to unvaccinated passengers while 85 vehicles were also impounded for not following government directives.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Fuad Ghaffar Soomro said the vaccination team along with Assistant Mukhtiarkar checked Covid-19 SOPs implementation at Hatri Bus terminal.
The vaccination team also checked vaccination cards of the passengers.
