After the winter's first rain in the city and snowfall in Murree and Galiyat, the demand for warm clothing increased manifold as the mercury dips considerably.
The demand for warm clothes witnessed a sudden rise in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The hustle and bustle is being witnessed nowadays in the busy markets of the city including Tench Bhatta, Saddar, Raja Bazar, Moti Bazar, Commercial Market and other areas, said Mushtaq, a shopkeeper.
He said that imported and high quality garments are the first choice of the buyers, but definitely the shopkeepers keep in mind the budget of the customers.
The streets in Tench Bhatta, Saddar, Lalkurti, Raja Bazar and Commercial Market are flooded with carts of second-handwinter wear for the same reasons. Imported sweaters, jackets and coats have price tags that are far beyond the reach ofordinary citizens.
