Work Starts On Kashmir Bridge Underpass

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Nov, 2018 ) ::The work has been started to construct Kashmir Bridge underpass at Canal road and this project will be completed at a cost of Rs 1.28 billion.
Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar reviewed technical and administrative aspects of this project during a meeting held at committee room of DC Office.
Reviewing the layout plan of the underpass scheme, the deputy commissioner asked the departments concerned to adopt coordinated strategy in the construction process of underpass project.
He said that effective and comprehensive traffic plan should be implemented to maintain smooth flow of traffic at this point besides displaying the guide map and direction boards regarding alternative route for the traffic.
He directed the Secretary RTA for devising alternative route for heavy traffic and said that heavy vehicles should not be allowed on canal road for ensuring uninterrupted flow of traffic.
The Deputy Commissioner said that civic facilities should not be affected due to construction of this project and citizens should be provided all out facilities during the process of construction regarding safety from digging.
He said sprinkling of water near the construction work be ensured to avoid environmental pollution.
The deputy commissioner asked the FESCO, WASA, ptcl and SNGPL officers to check their utility services near the digging of the project and asked for taking necessary measures immediately for shifting of utility services.
He said all impediments and obstacles should be removed confronted to this project for completing the scheme in stipulated time.
Besides others, CPO Ibrar Hussain, DD Development Dr. Navid, GM NESPAK Amjad Saeed, CE FDA Asghar Ali, Director PHA Abdullah Nisar and NLC Project Manager Col. Kamran attended the meeting.
