The department also warned of possible flooding in local streams and nullahs.

The PMD said that during the past 24 hours, heavy rainfall with thunderstorms occurred in Islamabad, upper and central Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan. In some places, extremely heavy rain was recorded. Other parts of the country remained hot and humid.

The highest rainfall was recorded in Attock with 133 mm, followed by 104 mm in Lahore. In contrast, areas such as Dalbandin, Nokundi, and Dadu recorded extremely high temperatures of 46°C, 45°C, and 43°C respectively.
