BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th September, 2018) A group of Belgian criminal lawyers, who work on terrorism-related cases, were barred from entering the United States under the visa-waiver program, local media reported on Tuesday.

At least five lawyers from Brussels were denied ESTA authorization - a US visa waiver program, available to citizens of 38 countries, including Belgium, according to the Derniere Heure newspaper.

"We defend different people without supporting the ideas of our clients. I will report this to our foreign minister, and we will take further action if necessary," Michel Forges, the head of the bar, said as quoted by the newspaper.

In April last year, then US Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly called for a review of the country's visa waiver program with European states over the growing threat of international terrorism.
