PARIS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 27th May, 2019) French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said on Sunday that he accepted the European Parliament election polls with "humility," according to which the National Rally (RN) party was projected to win the vote.
"For my part, I welcome these results with humility.
When you finish second you can't say you won," the minister said.
According to the ELABE exit poll, the RN party led by Marine Le Pen is leading in the Sunday election with 23.3 percent of votes. The party of French President Emmanuel Macron's La Republique En Marche! (LREM) shows the second result with 22.1 percent of the vote.
