BERLIN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st February, 2019) Germany is not interested in sanctions against Russia and believes that the restrictions have been imposed over political motives, German Economy and Energy Minister Peter Altmaier said at the conference Competitive Russia - New Paths.

"Personally I believe that we are not interested in sanctions... We have approved and repeatedly prolonged these sanctions because we had political reasons. The EU was united, but we should work on changing political relations in such a way as to take other decisions," the minister said.
