IINA To Host Regional Course In Science & Technology Journalism In Jeddah From Tomorrow

JEDDAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2017 ) : The International Islamic News Agency (IINA), in cooperation with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Information Department of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will hold a regional training course in science and technology journalism at IINA headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on September 19-21.
This specialized science course comes just days after the First OIC Summit on Science and Technology, held in Kazakhstan's capital Astana on September 10-11. The summit resolutions will be reviewed extensively during the course.
The three-day course aims to enable participants to understand the major challenges of the science and technology press in the Islamic world and the globe as a whole, and to raise awareness of the importance of science and technology journalism.
It is also meant to enable the participants to identify the problems of science, technology and society, as well as acquiring basic journalistic skills in science and technology journalism. Journalists from a number of news agencies, daily newspapers, satellite channels and radio stations in OIC member states are attending the course, which will be supervised by Dr.
Abdel Samad Motaie, professor of audiovisual media at the Higher Institute of Information and Communication of Rabat, Morocco.
