Jordan-Korea Discuss Cooperation In Multiple Domains

Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, early Thursday, separately discussed with the Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea ,Moon Hee-sang, Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon, bilateral relations and means of strengthening them in various domains, mainly in parliamentary, economic, political and tourism domains.
Seoul, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, early Thursday, separately discussed with the Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea ,Moon Hee-sang, Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon, bilateral relations and means of strengthening them in various domains, mainly in parliamentary, economic, political and tourism domains.
Al-Fayez praised the high level of relations between the two friendly countries, stressing Jordan's keenness to further develop them and forge more partnerships to increase mutual investments.
He called on the Korean side to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in Jordan in areas of medical tourism, public transport, energy production projects, and mining industries.
"Jordan is a hub for regional and international investments, especially as the Kingdom has signed a number of free trade agreements with many countries, " Senate President said.
The Kingdom has also established a number of economic, developmental and industrial zones as well business parks, which create opportunities for Korean investors to start their industries in Jordan, he added.
Jordan, Fayez said, would be the starting point for reaching other countries, urging Korean businessmen to build partnerships with their Jordanian counterparts and participate in the reconstruction of Syria and Iraq since Jordan is the closest country to these two states.
Talks with the Korean officials also tackled the economic burdens Jordan has shouldered as a result of hosting Syrian refugees, where al-Fayez highlighted the significance of increasing the Korean aid to the Kingdom.
The Senate President renewed calls for the International community to work hard to end the Syrian crisis and forge more cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
Al-Fayez stressed that the Palestinian question remains the central issue and the core of conflict in the region, and the only feasible solution to solve the conflict and achieve sustainable peace, must beon the basis of the two-state solution, Arab Peace Initiative andinternational legitimacy resolutions.
