Preparations for a national conference in Libya in early 2019 could give the Libyan public a push toward expressing their opinion on the political process in the country, Ghassan Salame, the head of the UN Support Mission in Libya and UN special representative for the country, said at a press conference at the end of the conference on Tuesday.

"The Libyans must say enough, no more obstacles put in the way of us speaking our minds ... This national conference, the preparations for it, should give public opinion a push towards expressing their opinion and this should push the institutions to react too," Salame said.
