Preparations For Production Of Russian PAK DA Bomber To Be Completed By 2025 - Official

The Kazan Aviation Plant will be ready to produce Russia's next-generation PAK DA stealth strategic bomber by 2025, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov said on Thursday.

KAZAN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th August, 2018) The Kazan Aviation Plant will be ready to produce Russia's next-generation PAK DA stealth strategic bomber by 2025, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov said on Thursday.

"The modernization of a production line for the PAK DA next-generation long-range strategic bomber will become an important milestone for us.

We need to build new bench testing facilities for this aircraft by 2025," Bocharov told reporters.

The PAK DA is being developed by Russian aircraft manufacturer Tupolev. The aircraft will be capable of operating in stealth mode, flying at hypersonic speeds as well as be equipped with advanced types of precision-guided weapons.

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuriy Borisov said in April 2017 that mass production for the PAK DA would start in 2028-2029.
