Russia Registers 48 Syrian Ceasefire Violations Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has recorded 48 truce breaches, while the Turkish side to the commission has registered eight ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th September, 2018) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has recorded 48 truce breaches, while the Turkish side to the commission has registered eight ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The number of ceasefire breaches remains high in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 48 cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (21), Hama (2), and Latakia (25). The Turkish side has registered five cases of ceasefire violation in Latakia (1) and Hama (7) provinces," the Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said in a daily bulletin.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian center supplied 1.29 tonnes of food to the residents of the settlement of the Naba al-Sahr in the Quneitra province and provided the residents of the village of Al Qardahah in the Latakia province with 700 kilograms (1,543 Pounds) of food products.
Moreover, 67 people have been assisted by medics over the past 24 hours.
No Syrian settlement had signed agreements on joining the ceasefire, the Defense Ministry pointed out.
Both Russia and Turkey, alongside Iran, are the guarantor states of the Syrian ceasefire regime. Moreover, the Russian forces have been supporting the forces of Syrian President Bashar Assad in their fight against terrorism and have been providing humanitarian assistance to the Syrians.
