MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th April, 2019) The Russian Navy will receive the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky diesel-electric submarine in the fourth quarter of this year, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Aleksey Krivoruchko said on Friday.

"In March 2019, another Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky submarine, the first vessel of the six [Varshavyanka-class submarines] intended for the Pacific Fleet, was floated out at the Admiralty shipyards in St. Petersburg. The work is ongoing according to schedule, it is planned to hand it over to the navy in the fourth quarter of 2019," he said.

Krivoruchko also noted that the ongoing systematic work, primarily the conclusion of multi-year government contracts and quarterly rational prepayment of orders, ensured uninterrupted deliveries of weapons and military equipment to the troops throughout the Calendar year.

According to the deputy minister, the actual deliveries correspond to the plans. The 2019 plans for the deliveries of military products are fulfilled by 15.6 percent for planes, 48.3 percent for helicopters and 23.4 percent for vehicles, he revealed.
