A transportation monitoring system developed by a group of South Korean researchers won an international contest, sources said Thursday.
SEOUL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Dec, 2018 ) :A transportation monitoring system developed by a group of South Korean researchers won an international contest, sources said Thursday.
The state-run Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) said the deep learning-based system developed by its team of researchers demonstrated the highest accuracy rate at an annual contest for surveillance technologies.
The 15th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal-based Surveillance (AVSS), hosted by Auckland University of Technology, was held between Nov 27 and 30 in New Zealand.
AVSS is the premier annual international conference in the field of video and signal-based surveillance and brings together experts from industry and academia.
The system developed by ETRI utilizes deep learning technology, resulting in an 85.67 percent accuracy rate in recognizing cars on the road, ETRI said.
