Trump Officials Consider Lifting China Tariffs To Get Trade Deal, Soothe Markets - Reports

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th January, 2019) Trump administration officials are considering the option of removing or reducing trade tariffs on China as leverage to achieve a long-term trade agreement with Beijing and reassure stock markets, US media reports said on Thursday.
The new tactic is currently being debated within the administration as a way to offer China sufficient incentives to make the long-term concessions that Washington is demanding, the Wall Street Journal reported.
