MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 27th November, 2018) The main goal of the United Kingdom's Integrity Initiative project is to keep the UK influence in global affairs, including by countering Russia as a key player in the international arena and deterring China's geopolitical ambitions, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the leader of the German Civil Rights Movement Solidarity party, told Sputnik.
"The main aim is to preserve the old paradigm of the British control of the world order, by countering the reassertion of Russia as a global player and the rise of China. In order to accomplish that purpose, they meddle as much as they can in very country around the globe. It is a myth that the British Empire no longer exists, they just have changed their appearance," Zepp-LaRouche said.
International Anonymous hacktivist group branded UK's Integrity Initiative as a "large-scale information secret service" created by London to "counteract Russian propaganda" and meddle in other states' domestic affairs.
On November 23, the hacktivist group released documents related to this project and said that the program had been launched in 2015 and was funded by the UK government. The Integrity Initiative's list of participants includes Bill Browder, the CEO of Hermitage Capital Management, and Vladimir Ashurkov, an associate of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny, according to Anonymous.
According to Zepp-LaRouche, some stolen documents may be not authentic, however, in general, the description is consistent with the nature of UK intelligence's methods.
"It could be that some elements may be not authentic. However, the overall story is entirely consistent with the modus operandi of British intelligence operations, and it very well may turn out, that it is this network, which is deeply involved with 'Russiagate' and the entire coup against [US] President [Donald] Trump," the politician said.
The project's documents leaked by the hackers, in particular, showed that the Integrity Initiative had received funding from the US State Department, NATO and Facebook. Anonymous claimed that the Integrity Initiative included covert structures capable of interfering in domestic affairs of France, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Norway, Serbia, Spain, and Montenegro.
The documents, published by Anonymous, showed that the Integrity Initiative's costs for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2019, were estimated at 1.96 million Pounds ($2.51 million).
