US Considering Sanctions Against China Over Imprisonment Of Muslims - State Dept.

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th March, 2019) The United States is considering targeted sanctions over human rights violations against Muslims in China's Xinjiang province, Department of State Deputy Spokesperson Robert Palladino said during a press briefing on Thursday.
"We will continue to call on China to end these policies and to free these people who have been arbitrarily detained...We are committed to promoting accountability for those who are committing these violations and we are considering targeted sanctions as well, targeted measures as well," Palladino told reporters.
