US State Dept. Unaware Of Plans For Pompeo-Lavrov Meeting At G20 - Spokesman

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 30th November, 2018) The US State Department is not aware of any plans with regard to a meeting between Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the G20 summit in Argentina, deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino told reporters on Thursday.
"I am not aware of that," he said at the briefing when asked if Pompeo will meet with his Russian counterpart after US President Donald Trump's decision to cancel his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Buenos Aires.
