Results of PP-78 Sargodha-VII Bye-Election held on 1 December 2016

The Bye-Election was held on 1st December 2016 in Provincial Punjab Assembly constituency PP-78 Sargodha-VII. Moulana Masrur Nawaz Jhangvi from Independent got 48563 votes and was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA). The first runner up was Muhammad Azad Nasir Ansari from Pakistan Muslim League (n) who got 35471 votes. Total 25 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 216562 voters registered in PP-78, out of which 95536 votes were polled out, 93742 votes were valid and 1794 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 44.11 % for PP-78 constituency of National Assembly.
