Belarus Needs Polish, Ukrainian Confirmation to Resume Russian Oil Transit via Druzhba

Belarus is ready to resume Russian oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline but it needs to receive confirmation from Poland and Ukraine to do it, the press secretary of Belarusian state oil company Belneftekhim, Marina Kostyuchenko, told Sputnik on Monday

MINSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th May, 2019) Belarus is ready to resume Russian oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline but it needs to receive confirmation from Poland and Ukraine to do it, the press secretary of Belarusian state oil company Belneftekhim, Marina Kostyuchenko, told Sputnik on Monday.

"Gomeltransneft Druzhba is ready to start [oil] pumping, we are waiting for confirmation from Ukraine and Poland," Kostyuchenko said.

She was not able to say when exactly oil pumping will be resumed.
