WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th March, 2023) The United States is still going to rely on oil for the next ten-to-fifteen years despite the movement toward alternative energy sources, President Joe Biden said on Thursday.
"We're still gonna need combustion engines.
We're gonna still need oil for the next ten to 15 years, it won't just go away," Biden said in a speech he delivered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Biden's comment on the need to continue using oil came as part of the remarks on his proposed budget for fiscal year 2024 that has received significant criticism from Republicans for what they say is egregious spending.
