The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has received more than 50 cooperation proposals from different countries and associations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday
"More than 50 proposals from various countries and associations to establish partnership with the EAEU have been received," Lavrov said speaking at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Bishkek.
The minister stressed that the free trade deal between the EAEU and Vietnam was functioning successfully, adding that the union was negotiating similar agreements with Israel, Serbia and Singapore.
"A temporary agreement with Iran has been signed as a step toward the establishment of the free trade zone. Similar consultations with such countries as Egypt and India are on the agenda," Lavrov underlined.
The EAEU comprises Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The treaty establishing the EAEU came into force in January 2015.
