PTCL To Provide Managed Services To Bank Of Khyber

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) would manage and maintain active network operations on behalf of Bank of Khyber at its branches countrywide.
The ptcl would also support the bank in meeting current and future customer demands under an agreement inked with Bank of Khyber on Thursday for managed services for a period of five years.
The Operator will also be managing bank's overall point to point and point to multi-point connectivity, along with dual media connectivity.
Chief Business Services Officer PTCL, Adil Rashid and Chief Information Technology Officer, Bank of Khyber, Azfar Ali signed the agreement on behalf of their organizations.
On the occasion, Dr. Daniel Ritz, President and CEO, PTCL, Basharat Qureshi, EVP, Digital Services, PTCL, Suleman Awan, General Manager, Digital Services North, PTCL, Shehbaz Jameel, CEO & MD, Bank of Khyber, and Gulzeb Jadoon, Head of Information Technology Infrastructure, Bank of Khyber, were also present along with officials from respective companies.
In his address, Shehbaz Jameel of Bank of Khyber said this agreement meets strategic long-term plans of the Bank in increasing operational efficiency. He said, "To optimize our costs for better network management we have entrusted PTCL for their support to maintain our network. This will allow us to maximize our focus on business development, improve quality of services and provide value added quality services."On the occasion, Dr. Daniel Ritz of PTCL said managed services have become a standard practice globally for operators and banks. He said PTCL would manage network operations of the Bank which would help reduce operational expenditure, enabling them to focus more on providing innovative solutions.
