Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 11 December 2018

Five ships, MSC Beijing, Zhong YU-89, SKY Ploeg, Caspian Gas and White Purl carrying Containers, Pet Cock, Palm oil and LPG were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal,
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Five ships, MSC Beijing, Zhong YU-89, SKY Ploeg, Caspian Gas and White Purl carrying Containers, Pet Cock, Palm oil and LPG were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, SSGC Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Monday.
A total of ten ships were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Pet Cock, Soya Bean Seeds, Bitumen, LPG, LNG and Palm oil respectively, Out of ten, a gas carrier Al-Khattiya sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, and six more ships, MSC Beijing, Zhong YU-89, Caspian Gas, White Purl, Vita Harmony Argent Aster are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.
Cargo Throughput during last 24 hours stood at 125,398 tonnes, comprising 106,398 tonnes imports cargo and 19,000 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,490 Containers (TEUs), (1,490 TEUs imports and 1,000 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
A total of six ships, CSAV Tyndall, Maersk Pittsburg, Al- Mahboobah, YM Saturn, Josco Fuz Hou and Furness St Kilda carrying Containers, Chemicals, steel coil and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL, MW-1, MW-2 and MW-4 respectively on Tuesday, While another containers ship, MOL Gateway is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
