Ulema should play a role in raising awareness among masses regarding polio eradication campaign
This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Shozab Saeed while addressing a meeting held to review the progress of the on-going anti-polio campaign. He said that it was the national duty of Ulema to participate in Jihad against polio.
The meeting condemned the negative propaganda launched by miscreants against polio in Peshawar. The meeting also prayed for the departed soul of a female vaccinator who lost her life in an accident while performing duty in Bahawalpur district. The meeting affirmed the determination to make the anti-polio campaign successful and fail the designs of anti-national elements who want our next generations to suffer from the menace of polio. Deputy Commissioner directed all the Assistant Commissioner to handle refusal cases on the priority basis.
