KP Government Establishes 30-member Health Advisory Council

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Hasham Inamullah Khan has said that the provincial government has established a 30-member health advisory council and also comprising of 14 representatives of international organizations.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Hasham Inamullah Khan has said that the provincial government has established a 30-member health advisory council and also comprising of 14 representatives of international organizations.
Responding the questions of opposition legislators in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, he said that the previous PTI government has worked on the big hospitals of the province while this time they beside basic health units (BHUs) will also improve the performance of tehsil and district headquarters hospitals.
The provincial minister said that in this regard a report from all districts has been sought to submit details of the shortage of medical staff and resources in hospitals within a period of three weeks. He said that these shortcomings will be filled with immediate effect.
For the monitoring and accountability of the employees a digitalized system has been evolved in health sector while a similar human resource will also be established shortly.
The provincial minister said that first burn centre of the province will become operational from next month, which would be followed by the establishment of burn centres at district level. He said that a digital complaint cell is being established while health committees will also be constituted at union council level to make the prevention of diseases at street level.
He said that presently 30% data of the Sehat Insaf Card has mistakes, which would be corrected, saying that the improvement in the health insurance scheme and hospitals included in it are being monitored.
Hasham Inamullah clarified that news coming regarding the transfer of the Director General (DG) Health are baseless. He said that he is running the affairs of the health department and for this purpose, he should have a good team.
He went on to say that they should have to clarified that decisions would be taken on merit or on seniority, saying that if they want to give relief to the people then time for taking merit based decision had arrived.
He said that the selection of the team of his choice is his right.
Speaking about the Excise and Taxation Department, the Minister for Law, Sultan Mohammad Khan said that a bill regarding the establishment of anti-narcotics force will be passed from the provincial assembly in next session. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) is being activated to increase the revenue collection at provincial level.
He said that in 2013, the tax collection target was Rs.6 billion while for the current year the target isRs.15 billion. Similarly, he said that a smart card will also be introduced forthe documentations and registration of vehicles in the provinces.
