The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court full bench Friday took suo moto notice of case hearing regarding the minority's religious places addressed to Deputy Commissioner.
The Secretary and Director General of Archeology and Tourism Midhut Shahzad and Sardar Javed Ayub presented the interim report before the court; however the court expressed dissatisfaction in this regard.
The apex court while giving the remarks termed the report incomplete and the AJK Supreme Court observed that as per the government direction March 18, 20018 issued to Secretary Archeology, all the buildings of minorities had to be notified and the court also summoned the details of the notified buildings and the details of land adjacent to the buildings.
The Supreme Court directed Secretary Archeology to ensure the safety and sanctity of the worship places and shrines of minorities, besides to evacuate them from the illicit land grabbers in Azad Kashmir and devise proposals in this regard.
The court maintained that with the joint venture of public-private partnership such income generation projects should be launched at tourist resorts of AJK particularly at Rampur which would also be tourist attractive by its renovation, the court added.
The court also directed to take measures for seeking assistance from the concerned international institutions for the historical buildings and chalk out proposals in this regard.
The AJK Supreme Court directed Secretary Archeology and Tourism to submit a comprehensive report within next three months.
