ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2018 ) :Illegally detained senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmed Shah, is so ill that he cannot stand for more than a minute to offer prayers.
According to Kashmir Media Service, this was disclosed by three Kashmiri men, who were recently released from Delhi's notorious Tihar jail. Muhammad Siddique Ganai, Ghulam Jilani Lallu and Farooq Ahmed Dagga were released from the jail after eight years of illegal imprisonment.
They informed a DFP delegation, who met them in Sopore and Kupwara, that Shabbir Shah was unable to even offer prayers because he could not stand for more than a minute.
They said that despite being in bad health condition he was not being provided appropriate medical assistance.
"He needs to be admitted in some reputed hospital; however, he has been put in a small cell all alone," the DFP delegation was informed.
The delegation members strongly condemned the jail authorities for not respecting the rights of the Kashmiri prisoners. They prayed for the safety and security of all the Kashmiri prisoners including Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
The DFP delegation congratulated Siddique Ganai, Ghulam Jilani Lallu and Farooq Ahmed Dagga over their release and praised them for exhibiting steadfastness during the imprisonment.
