Traditional Horse & Cattle Show Begins In AJK's Town At LoC

In order to promote the ancient traditional Kashmiri cultural heritage, grand horse and cattle show began in Khuiratta town, close to the Line of Control in Kotli district of AJK on Monday.

Acting Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Tariq Farooq inagurated the show. A well dressed contingent of AJK Police presented salute to Acting Prime Minister on this occasion. The Acting PM cut the ribbon to open the event.

Tariq Farooq visited different stalls set by different departments, Moreover Kabbadi, Horse race, Bull race, arm fight followed by bike rally were the hallmark of the grand gala.

Department of livestock and Animal husbandry displayed the walks of various animals of unique races on this occasion.

A large number of people including owners of animals and landlords from Khuiratta and the adjoining areas graced the occasion while visiting the festival Horse and Cattle Show is an ancient cultural event of this part of the Himalayan State which is celebrated to mark the arrival of spring and summer every year.
