UAE Chairs AESC's Follow-up Committee Meeting

The UAE is chairing the 46th meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council's Implemntation and Follow-up Committee, which started today in Cairo, in attendance of representatives from ministries of economy, finance and commerce in Arab countries.

CAIRO, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 17th Dec, 2018) The UAE is chairing the 46th meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council's Implemntation and Follow-up Committee, which started today in Cairo, in attendance of representatives from ministries of economy, finance and commerce in Arab countries.

Mohammed Saleh Shalwah, Advisor to the Economy minister for Arab Affairs, who chaired the meting, said the four-day meeting agenda will focus on the progress of the Arab free trade zone, aimed boosting trade among Arab countries.

The meeting will also discuss a proposal to set up an Arab e-gate to facilitate transport, trade and customs processes.
