Iranian Documentary Wins START Filmfest Award

BAKU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :The Iranian short film 'Real love' won the best documentary award at START International Festival of Short Films held in Azerbaijan's capital Baku.

Closing ceremony of the film festival was held on Saturday night at Baku's Nizami Cinema Center and saw the announcement of Iranian director Iman Behrouzi's 'Real Love' as the best short documentary.

Out of total 100 films presented from 30 countries participated, seven were from Iran.

Iranian screenwriter and director Kambuzia Partovi was among the five juries of the even.

Renowned Iranian director Jafar Panahi's Cannes winner '3 Faces' hit the silver screen during the festival.

The ninth edition of the START International Festival of Short Films was held from November 14-17 to mark the 120th anniversary of Azerbaijan Republic's national cinema.
