32,000 Saplings To Be Planted In Sibi On Independence Day: DC Sibi

Deputy Commissioner Sibi Mir Afzal Owaisi on Friday said around 32,000 saplings would be planted on Independence Day across Sibi district to bring awareness among masses regarding climate change and it consequences.
QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2018 ) :Deputy Commissioner Sibi Mir Afzal Owaisi on Friday said around 32,000 saplings would be planted on Independence Day across Sibi district to bring awareness among masses regarding climate change and it consequences.
He said this while chairing a meeting to review preparation of Independence Day, said a press release issued here.
Deputy Commissioner was also briefed about preparation of Independence Day.
DC Mir Afzal said Independence Day would be celebrated with zeal and fervour by decorating and illuminating of government buildings and markets.
"About 32,000 saplings to be planted on Independence Day and urged officials and all segment of society to take participation in the tree plantation campaign as planting of tree is a virtue", he added.
He said speech and sports competitions will be organized among students to highlight importance of August 14.
DC said hosting of national flags would be held at Circuit House and rural areas of Sibi at 8 am, saying that Assistant Commissioner could arrange motorcycle rally in order to celebrate Independence Day in the area.
He also directed relative authority to take measures to ensure cleansing of the city.
Deputy Additional Commissioner Sibi, Abass Malik, District education Officer (DEO) Abdul Sattar,District Forest Officer Sibi, Divisional Director Development, Assistant Commissioner Lehri, District Health Officer, other officials of department and law enforcement agencies attended the meeting.
