Al-Azhar University Cairo, Egypt has offered 50 scholarships to Pakistani students, besides establishing a language centre in Islamabad and arranging training workshop for Pakistani Ulema.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2018 ) :Al-Azhar University Cairo, Egypt has offered 50 scholarships to Pakistani students, besides establishing a language centre in Islamabad and arranging training workshop for Pakistani Ulema.
Shaikh Al-Azhar Professor Dr Ahmed Tayyeb announced this while talking to Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sarddar Muhammad Yousaf, who met him on Wednesday in Egypt, said a message received here.
Talking to Shaikh Al Azhar Professor Dr Ahmed Tayyeb, the minister lauded services of Al Azhar University saying that the Al Azhar was presenting the true picture of islam.
Yousaf said Al Azhar was serving Muslim Ummah since last one thousand years.The education programme would help eliminating terrorism and exptremism.
Dr Tayyeb lauded the services of Sardar Yousaf and said Pakistan has overcome the menace of terrorism. Extremism and terrorism were the joint enemies of Pakistan and Egypt and both countries should wage Jihad to eliminate the menace.
